Why are migrant visas being turned down

The total population of New Zealand is projected to reach 5.2-6.3 million by 2038. Auckland is expected to reach a population of 2 million in the early 2030s. Many Kiwis are calling for those new to the country to be redirected to the regions.

Last weekend we spoke to Richard Houston of HANZ ON JOBS specialising in recruiting skilled migrants from the UK & Ireland to drive our tractors & the amount of visa’s being declined this season is alarming.

Immigration Minister, Michael Woodhouse, joins us to discuss the issue.
