Phil Twyford & Paula Bennett talk politics and promises

Phil Twyford and Paula Bennett dropped by the AM show this morning to talk the change in Government and Labour's big promises.

Ms Bennett was upbeat in defeat saying, "It's change we'd rather not have had, but I'm embracing it" and promised to be "fierce in opposition".

Newly sworn in Housing Minister Phil Twyford wasted no time by saying,

We didn't come to Government to eat our lunch, we came to make change

Ms Bennet and Mr Twyford were amicable, but traded jabs over housing, with the former Deputy PM saying Labour had been coasting on "hopes and dreams but are about to meet reality."

The AM Show with Duncan Garner, Amanda Gillies and Mark Richardson, weekdays 6-9am on RadioLIVE and streaming live to the ROVA app on Android and iPhone.
