10 years to fix Auckland's wastewater problems - Phil Goff
Auckland Council has launched a website to let the public know what beaches are safe to swim in.
The Safeswim website shows what beaches have an influx of sewerage due to an overloading of the wastewater system after heavy rainfall.
Auckland’s Mayor Phil Goff says this has been a problem for the city for over a hundred years and will take at least 10 years to fix it.
The mayor joined Ali Mau on RadioLIVE Drive to talk about what plan council has to resolve this issue.
