I completely agree with Peter. Access to our land has to be maintained especially for those of us born here. We must look after the natural resources. The water is the life blood of the land. God has made a wonderfull garden here and it behoves us to tend it well. I am glad God almighty owns the earth and its bounty, because he shares with us what He has. We should follow his example and share with oneanother these resources, freely.

The Kaingaroa Forest has been a Recreational Playground for myself,my Father and many Friends, over the last 47 years.
Firstly as a Deer Hunter, I applied for and was granted Permits to access and also travel through this Forest for recreational Deer hunting and over these last 20 years as a Fly Fisherman. Even though I have lived in Auckland, apart from 18 months in Rotorua, this Forest and surrounding areas have been a part of NZ that I have regularly visited and wish to continue to access to pursue my passion for Fly Fishing with the company of good Friends. The Te Awa Camping Area should also be available and this is popular with families. It will be an affront and Disgrace to the Rights of all New Zealanders if Commercial Interests can deny Access to these Public lands.( Whilst taking into account resonable seasonable concerns regarding Fire danger.)

I am pleased that one party in parliament is realising what is happening to our prcious outdoor heritage. We express concern about acccess to our beaches but this denila of access to our publically owned rivers and lakes is far more insidious. Well done Peter Dunne and UnitedFuture for taking up this cause. Our grandchildren will thank you for your far sighted actions and strength to speak out on behalf of all Kiwis.
