PHOTOS: Anti-Semitic desecration of a Jewish cemetery "cowardly"
The anti-Semitic desecration of a Jewish cemetery in central Auckland has been slammed as a cowardly attack.
Swastikas and Nazi insignia have been spray painted on around 20 headstones at the Symonds Street graveyard.
Rabbi Samuel Altschul told RadioLIVE it's a disgusting, racially motivated act.
"Unfortunately, it's something that we as Jews have been subject to, well, for thousands of years. It makes it a great sadness even every time is happens," he said.
