Michael Laws statement regarding the Governor General

Today I have engaged in discussions with RadioLIVE regarding my comments about the Governor General and his physique.

I apologise to the Governor General for comments which were, upon reflection, uncharitable and inappropriate.

I reserve the right to be controversial and outspoken.

But my off-air comments, in particular, crossed the line from puckish to insulting, and although that was not my intent, it was still inappropriate.

I also apologise to MediaWorks for any embarrassment that may have been subsequently caused.

I return to my talkback show on Wednesday after the current scheduled leave.

India people are ok,the girls are pretty & the blokes work hard just like you & me.
Too many poor over there, should bring a few over here so long as they bring some of that hot sunny weather.

You must be one lucky sod. Yourself and Paul Henry both made reference to the Indian ministers surname. The difference is between public and private broadcast. One fell on his sword and the other unsheathed it.

can i put something to those who believe that one can say anything one likes?

i walk down the street, i see you, i dont know you, i say to you: "you are the ugliest son of a bitch I have seen in my life, i truely believe you are the son of a devil and your mum is a whore...."

i said what I thought, now do you really think, you are going to say to me, "good on ya mate, i love it that you speak your mind" and walk on? or will you pick a fight, either physical or verbal...

The difference between Paul and Micheal, Paul made an off the cuff comment with no thought and lost his job. Micheal watches the Paul Henry comments go global, and thinks, over a few days, gee I'm missing out what can I say that would be offensive? All you people that say "duh, but he his fat, Micheal is only telling the truth" I bet you wouldn't go and tell him to his face he was fat, and neither would the class clown from Radio Live. Micheal, I like your show, but you let yourself down, be grateful you didn't get the same punishment PH got.

In an effort to keep themselves in the media spotlight Michael Laws and Chris Carter are going to announce their love of themselves to each other in a public ceremony.

A seven-page spread in Bride Magazine along with feature articles in the Women's magazine will follow.

Michael said he had chosen the wedding song and it is "How deep is your love".

The Governor General will be giving them away with the blessings of both John Key and Phil Goff.

Michael and Chris are looking forward to playing out their private life in public and Michael is sure the first fight will be over who gets to wear the dress.

Its true that he he dislikes fat people and takes a pot shot whenever possible. This is often the case with a skinny ferret faced guy like him. Get over it its school boy stuff and Michael is the school yard bully.
