It's fair to say the extreme weather conditions New Zealand has faced this summer has been relentless.
Jo Booth, area manager Wairarapa and Tararua for Pioneer Seeds joined Rural Exchange with an outlook on how farmers are coping around the country with the extreme weather conditions
She says things are looking more positive in the Wairarapa region.
"We had a bit of a mixed bag late spring and early summer it got really dry.
"But since Christmas and into January we've actually had, around the lower North Island, about 80-200mm [of rain]," she told RadioLIVE.
We probably wouldn't say no to a bit more rain though.
