Sometimes you find a recipe that’s so easy, but so delicious, you’ll remember it forever. This divine ham glaze consists of nothing more than a jar of Three Peaks Manuka Honey UMF 12+ and a good-quality ham. Seriously sumptuous.
Three Peaks Manuka Glazed Ham
- 5-7kg ham
- 1 jar Three Peaks Manuka Honey UMF 12+
Prepare the ham
Preheat the oven to 160°C.
Carefully cut around the skin at the shank end, leaving at least 6cm on the bone.
Remove the skin from the ham by sliding your fingers under the skin to loosen it, leaving a good coating of fat on the ham.
Make long vertical cuts at close intervals through the fat.
Place ham in a large roasting dish lined with baking paper or foil.
Brush, spoon or drizzle over enough Three Peaks Manuka Honey to well cover the ham fat.
Place in the oven and bake until golden and beautifully aromatic (15-20 minutes per 1kg).
