With the Trans-Pacific Partnership deal moving forward, all eyes are on Parliament. With the Green Party still opposing the TPP, Labour will need National’s support for the agreement to come into force.
National Party leader Bill English joins The AM Show to discuss National’s position on the TPP.
I think there's been a bit of exaggeration about what's been achieved in the last week or so.
English says Labour is trying to claim his party's hard work. However, National will give their support because the agreement is "good for New Zealand".
"This will have a bigger impact in the regions than any government fund," says English.
