Maritime historian and the man behind Shipwreck Tales, John McCrystal, joins RadioLIVE's Graeme Hill to take a look at the endeavour of Captain Cook.
John tells the story of what happened to Captain James Cook’s ship after he’d finished with it.
It seems that a group of marine archaeologists have located the wreck with some certainty off the coast of Rhode Island, but during its final working years was it ever revered as a ship of historical importance at all?
Now there are political wranglings as to who can claim her, or what’s left of the thing.
Listen to the full interview with John McCrystal above.
Weekend Variety Wireless with Graeme Hill, 8pm - midnight Saturdays and Sundays, on RadioLIVE and streaming live to the Rova app on Android and iPhone.
