Say the words 'tribute artist' and RadioLIVE’s Graeme Hill would usually be the first to admit his scepticism.
So what's so different about award-winning country artist Darren Coggan, a tribute artist who grabbed Graeme's attention?
Perhaps it was just an excuse to talk about the man himself – Cat Stevens (aka Yusuf Islam) and his incredible album Tea for Tillerman. Or perhaps Graeme saw something inspiring in the man honouring one of the greats of the 70s.
While the self-proclaimed 'ginger cat' admits he doesn’t look anything like the British singer-songwriter, Mr Coggan can certainly put on a show.
The Aussie performer kicked off his career at the Toyota Golden Guitar Awards – the same competition that brought the likes of Keith Urban to fame.
His Peace Train Cat Stevens Tribute Tour will make the rounds through Australia and the UK, with stops in Auckland (September 1), Wellington (August 31) and Christchurch (August 29).
