Robert Greene, director of Bisbee 17 joins Graeme Hill to discuss his new documentary that is hitting the New Zealand International Film Festival (NZIFF).

Bisbee 17 is a documentary that effectively re-enacts a dirty little secret from an Arizona mining town.

It looks at how the 1,917,200 townsfolk forcibly deported 1300 workers in rail cars into the desert.

Check out the trailer below.

Following a strike by the recently unionised Mexican and German miners, Bisbee 17 follows the deportation of said miners performed by Sheriff Harry Wheeler and a 2,000 man posse.

The film was nominated at the 2018 Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival and the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.
