Soccer or Football?

Paul Brislen joins Vaughn Davis talking apps of the week.

Amazon meets football

The dark horse of the content market  has bought the rights to the UK English Premiere League to screen exclusively via the internet in years to come.

This is the first step by the English Premiere League in attempts to reach wider audiences, serving the English human right to be able to watch the football.

Mr Brislen believes that Rugby New Zealand should jump on board with it.

A digital detox

Yoga teacher Doug Moores has declared July 1st to be NZ digital detox day where we’re encouraged to turn all our devices off.

Moores is setting up a seven day digital detox camp for teenagers on Slipper Island, 3km off Coromandel Peninsula, during school holidays.

Vaughn believes it’s a bunch of poppycock.

Salad emoji goes vegan… seriously!

The ginger-haired emoji family made some ripples last week, but the salad going vegan is next level.

What’s changed? The slice of egg that has been a salad emoji feature from day one is to be removed, leaving a boring lettuce and tomato salad.

Parenting site of the week, good old Plunket

Plunket.org.nz is a fantastic resource for NZ parents including health guides, connections to help and support and even a new series of half hour podcasts.
