Rangitikei farmer using social media to showcase best in NZ farming

Rural Exchange 15/07/2018

Rangitikei sheep and beef farmer William Morrison has turned his hill-country farm into an internet sensation by posting stunning images on social media sites.

Morrison Farming is a family owned and operated sheep and beef farming agri-business, but also creates positive conversations online around the best in New Zealand farming.

The Morrison’s have farmed at the main farm since 1864.

William Morrison, one of the farm's directors, joined RadioLIVE's Rural Exchange to discuss his approach of using social media to highlight his family's farm.

The family has two properties with the home block near Marton - the Fern Flats, and has remained in the family for generations - 152 years to be exact.

17 kilometres north of the town, a hill country farm in the Rangitikei hills is the newcomer to the operation.

The farms are equally owned by brothers William and Richard Morrison, their father John Morrison and his second cousin Graham Morrison.
