Classic album review - The Guess Who live at the Paramount, 1972

Night Talk 24/09/2018

Every Monday night after the 10pm news, Mitch Harris is joined in studio by Marty Duda from online radio station Radio13 to look back at a classic album.

Tonight: 'Live at the Paramount' was recorded at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, Washington, on May 22nd 1972. It was The Guess Who's only live album in their initial run before breaking up and reuniting in 1983.

The record was originally released on vinyl in August 1972, and it was re-released on CD in the year 2000. The original vinyl only had 7 songs on it, whereas the year 2000 CD version has 13 songs. There are still four songs they performed live on that night that are still unreleased.

Tracks played:
- Albert Flasher
- Pain Train
- These Eyes
- Runnin' Back to Saskatoon
- Truckin' Off Across the Sky
- American Woman

Night Talk with Mitch Harris, 8pm - 12am Monday to Thursday nights on RadioLIVE, and streaming live to the rova app on Android and iPhone.
