It’s not every day that a brain expert strolls into a radio studio and casually places a brain on the desk.
Professor Sir Richard Faull, director of the Neurological Foundation Douglas Centre for Brain Research at the University of Auckland, literally brought his brains into RadioLIVE on Morning Talk on Thursday.
His passion for the brain began at an early age and has led to ground-breaking research which has radically changed the understanding and treatment of brain disease, including Alzheimer's, Huntington's and Parkinson's diseases.
He says he would like to see more brains donated to the centre, especially healthy ones, to assist his team with further research.
