No financial help from Govt coming for Surf Life Saving anytime soon

Last weekend 70 people got into trouble in the water, and Surf Life Saving teams were there to help.

But who is there to keep Surf Life Saving New Zealand afloat?

With four northern locations already cut because of money-woes, could Government funding be the lifeline it needs and is Government funding on the cards for Surf Life Saving New Zealand?

  • They provide an essential service to the public, doesn’t that qualify for financial help?

  • If funding is being considered, how much are we talking?
