This week's cocktail comes courtesy of Parasol & Swing, a new rooftop bar in Auckland's Viaduct.
The Musket Trader
In a Collins glass (a tall glass) over ice add:
- 30 or 60mls of Rye Whiskey (Bourbon) depending on how strong you enjoy your cocktails.
- 10ml of yellow chartreuse (or a liqueur like schnapps, herbal liqueur or Galliano Vanilla)
- Then a couple of dashes of absinthe (Pernod or even a dash of bitters will also do)
- Juice of one granny smith apple
Garnish the drink with some fresh sage and some dehydrated apple chips. (or apple slices if you don’t have dehydrated apple)
