“The Stolen” is in movie theatres now, set during the Otago gold rush, it’s shot in Canterbury and is written and produced by UK based Kiwi Emily Corcoran.
It tells the tale of Charlotte, a woman whose life is tipped upside down when her baby is kidnapped. And so begins her relentless quest to get him back.
Speaking of relentless quests, it took Emily almost a decade to get this film in the can. Despite the Canterbury quake in 2011 shaking her funders lose & movie moguls telling her she couldn’t make a Western with a female lead, she did and she joins Lisa Owen on The Long Lunch.
