“We felt it was a point of history that really needed to be told, and to be told in a really personal, human way.”
Graeme Hill is joined by Quinn Kanaly and Noel Dockstader, the makers of Point Of No Return, a gorgeously shot documentary following the first solar powered flight circumnavigating the earth.
Ms Kanaly says they have both made a lot of history and science documentaries, and have a real passion for environmental stories.
“Soaring at 28,000 feet without a drop of fuel, nothing is predictable. Not the weather, not the technology, not the fate of a man alone for five days in a fragile, first-of-its-kind solar-powered aircraft 10 years in the making.”
Mr Dockstader explains the pilots in the film share a love of going into the unknown of doing something ground-breaking.
