Kiwi Jonelle Price has notched the biggest win of her career this week when she rode 'Classic Moet' to victory at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials.
She now has the title of the fastest cross country female in the world and is the first female in 11 years to win the event.
She edged out Brit Oliver Townend who was chasing not only Badminton victory, but also Rolex Grand Slam honours. However, he finished second and fifth on his two horses.
"I certainly had lady luck on my side today," said Price, "but sometimes you need a little luck".
Dreams do come true.
Now based in the UK with her husband, Price has made the unlikely journey from Canterbury to Hall of Fame alongside the likes of Sir Mark Todd and Jock Paget.
Price is mum to 9-month-old Otis, who has been a focus of media attention, and she says it's definitely been an added hurdle to her training.
