'Drying' off cows can be healthy

The mornings are getting chilly and those milking cows are contemplating the last of the season's milking routine drawing to a close. 

With some well-earned sleep-ins on the horizon, the current focus moves toward convincing the herd to stop producing milk. 

It's important to minimise the grief that comes from managing upset cows and ensure the effectiveness of dry cow therapy.

Our consultant nutritionist Paul Sharp joined us to offer some tips to ensure the health of stock heading away for grazing.
