Southland dairy leadership coach Loshni Manikam earned herself one of the most prominent titles in the primary sector.
Ms Manikam was named 2018 Fonterra Dairy Woman of the Year on 22 March, 2018.
Ms Manikam told Rural Exchange that receiving the award was “really, really humbling”.

Originally from South Africa, the leadership coach milks 600 cows with her family in Winton.
Her CV is equally impressive as the founding director of Iceberg Coaching, a strategic consultant for Farmstrong, Federated Farmers Southland executive member and a trustee of the Southern Dairy Development Trust.
Ms Manikam, who is also a former lawyer, deeply believes in her work with Farmstrong to help with wellbeing for those who work in farming.
“I really genuinely believe that we can support people to thrive and be happy,” she said of her Farmstrong tole.
Hawke's Bay dairy consultant Rachel Baker and Tararua district mayor Tracey Collis were the other two finalists.
