Cyclone Fehi arrived early in the month, and then humid northeasterlies set up across most of New Zealand, with the notable exception of the far south of the South Island.
Humid and wet weather is forecast for many regions of the country, in the wake of Cyclone Gita.
However predictions show much cooler, drier and less humid weather for the second half of next week.
