Police want to up their public relations game

Drive 17/04/2018

When it comes to an emergency the Police are easy to get hold of and respond prompty in most cases but they want to improve non-emergency interactions with the public.

Police Commissioner Mike Bush says the Police are creating more options for the public to get in touch with us, such as online reporting, one non-emergency number for the whole country and diversifying and growing our public presence in communities, including increasing the number of mobile police bases.

The Commissioner joins Ryan Bridge and Lisa Owen on RadioLIVE Drive to talk about the unconscience bias within the police force and how officers can better communicate with the public.
