'Range of emotions' for families re-entering Pike River mine

Drive 19/04/2018

A significant step was taken to getting re-entry into the Pike River mine drift with the Minister for Pike River Re-entry Andrew Little walking 30m down the entrance.

Inside the entrance shaft, the minister embraced Sonya Rockhouse, whose son Ben died in the 2010 explosion and Anna Osborne, whose husband Milton was also killed.

Ryan Bridge and Lisa Owen looked at this story from three angles.

First they spoke with Sonya Rockhouse then got spokesperson for Pike River re-entry for National Chris Finlayson for his view, then with Mr Little.

Drive with Ryan Bridge and Lisa Owen, 3pm - 6pm Weekdays and streaming live on 'rova' channel 9 - available on Android and iPhone.
