How does someone become radicalised online?

A Christchurch teenager who had converted to Islam and was radicalised online has been sentenced to two year intensive supervision and is to be re-educated about Islam from the Muslim community.

The teen had suffered from post traumatic syndrome and had planned a car attack in Christchurch but did not go through with the act.

So how does one become radicalised online?

To try and get some answers and to find out what the re-education will look like Stephen McIvor speaks to Hazim Arafeh, Federation of Islamic Associations and International Relations expert, University of Otago Robert Patman.
