The cost of closing the pay gap
The Government is aiming to pay women the same as men in the public sector within four years
Public Service Association National Secretary Glenn Barclay spoke to Duncan Garner on the AM show to discuss the plan.
While he acknowledged that closing the gap will not be "an insignificant task", Mr Barclay says that questions of cost are not the right ones to be asking.
"If we over emphasise cost, it's the wrong question."
What we need to say is we’ve had decades when the cost has been borne by women and their families because they’ve been underpaid.
