NZ Police recruitment video goes viral
New Zealand Police’s new recruitment video “NZ Police’s most entertaining recruitment video, yet!” has gone viral.
Since the video’s release on Monday, it has already reached nearly 7.6 million people and generated over 500 police officer applications.
Police Commissioner Mike Bush joins The AM Show to discuss the latest recruitment video and who the New Zealand Police are recruiting.
“[The video has] exceeded our expectations,” says Mr Bush.
NZ Police will be employing 1,800 new police officers over the next three years as part of the Labour-NZF coalition agreement. In order to further diversify the police force, Mr Bush explains that they are seeking more women, Maori, and Pacific Islanders.
“It’s a very rewarding job,” says Mr Bush.
