Worlds biggest agriculture conference in NZ

Precision agriculture is the way of the future for the sustainable production of food and this week in Hamilton over 500 from around the world gathered to learn from each other.

The Rural Exchange team spoke to Craige Mackenzie, chair for Precision Agriculture New Zealand about the conference where ag tech innovators and scientists can learn from farmers to help them see the value proposition of farming more precisely.

He says the biggest limitation is demystifying the technology and showing farmers the benefits to the environment and their bottom line.

Rural Exchange with Hamish McKay, Sarah Perriam and Richard Loe, 5-7am Saturday and Sunday on RadioLIVE with Carter’s Tyre Service. Click here for all the ways to watch and listen.
