Phil Goff: 'We have $27b worth of work to do'
Auckland Mayor Phil Goff says Labour's fuel tax is a great start, but there's a lot more work to come.
Mr Goff joined Duncan on the AM show this morning to talk Jacinda, the petrol tax and the future of Auckland.
The long term politician was positive about the change in Government, saying
“What you see is what you get with Jacinda, I think she’ll be a great Prime Minister."
Mr Goff embraced the incoming regional fuel tax, saying it would be implemented
"As soon as we can get the government to pass the legislation."
He warned that the tax, which is estimated to raise $1b over ten years, is just a start, and that there will be $27b worth of work to come.
