That is the vision of Future Forests Research, which co-invested nearly $7million with the Ministry for Primary Industries in innovative harvesting technologies that has not only proved to improve productivity and worker safety in steepland harvesting in New Zealand, but has opened up over $100million in economic benefit through selling this innovation overseas.
