The tension between scientific evidence and public perception in New Zealand farming has Dr William Rolleston in a state of wonder about how we can overcome the ‘hatred towards the hand that feeds them’ in the run up to the 2017 New Zealand elections.
He says “cherry picking evidence is unacceptable. When public figures abuse scientific argument, citing some studies but suppressing others, to justify policies that they want to implement.”
