PICTURES: Spike Wademan designs stickers to help foreign drivers

Reflective arrows used in World War II aircraft could be used to keep rental car drivers on the correct side of the road, Queenstown artist Spike Wademan believes.

After two near misses with drivers on the wrong side of the road about two years ago, Wademan, a marine and aviation enthusiast with a love of World War II vehicles, had some arrows made to stick on rental vehicle dashboards.

They would reflect from the dashboard on to the window indicating to the driver the correct side of the road to drive on – just as they did on the aircraft gun sights.
