Graeme talks to Chris Bourke, author of “Goodbye To Maoriland”, a brilliantly researched and illustrated book on NZ music of World War 1.
Chris beileves in the importance of preserving the history and has a partiuclar affection for the music.
The music changed at the time of the war - there was support for the men and the want to raise funds also.
This was 5 years prior to Radio being born- so there were records and live street performances instead.
"The Heroes we've left behind" and "We'll never forget our boys"- Graeme and Chris get deep on the History of the music.
