Australian Report warns celibacy in priests a major risk factor for abuse
Wendyl Nissen talks to Professor Desmond Cahill from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology who's newly released report has found the Catholic church’s requirement that priests be celibate is a major risk factor for abuse. It also warns that Catholic residential institutions, like orphanages, should be getting more attention, especially in developing countries because of the possibility of abuse.
