A stormy week for New Zealand... but does this effect astronomy?
Astronomer Grant Christie joins Graeme Hill to talk about the Astronomer most famous for his failures, space junk and the details of our Moon.
The Messier catalogue of fuzzy stuff in the sky was one man’s effort to eliminate what wasn't a comet so he’d know when he’d found one. However, he became most famous for his deleted items bin.
Dr Christie also talks about methods to get rid of space junk.
A beautiful video of our Moon in incredible detail:
Go outside and have a look, you'd be amazed at what you can see.
Also, a truly massive impact on Mars may have showered the Earth with some of its stuff.
