What has the Easter bunny got to do with Easter, and why does the word Cricket have two meanings?

Ryan Bradley is joined by Max Cryer for Words of the week: Cricket, Stump up, Smorgasbord and an Easter special.

What does the word Cricket mean? The difference between the insect and the sport, as have two different meanings as well as origins.

Why do you tell someone to stump up when you want them to pay you? Mr Cryer explains it's when one is to come forward with something, however the origin of the word was based on actual tree stumps.

Why is smorgasbord described as 'other options', and where does the word come from?

Send Graeme an email here if you want to ask Max a word for next week.
