How to identify stock mineral deficiencies

Some farmers blame mineral deficiencies for many animal health and reproductive issues, but there's inevitably cost and time required to get these mineral supplements into stock diets.

Paul Sharp, animal nutritionist at Seales Winslow, joins the Rural Exchange team to ask the big question.

How do we know if we are going to get the responses to justify the costs? 

Mr Sharp says it’s important to identify the mineral deficiencies correctly, and gauge the effect the mineral supplementation programmes have to measure the return on the investment.
