Here’s the no-bake slice recipe Jo Seagar gave out on The Long Lunch with Wendyl Nissen for you to make this weekend.

Walnut Coffee Slice by Jo Seagar

Makes 36 pieces

Prep time:
10 minutes plus an hour chilling

Ingredients:
2 x 200 g packets plain biscuits
1 x 395 g can condensed milk
180 g butter
3 tablespoons sweetened coffee & chicory essence
1 cup chopped walnuts

For the icing:
250 g cream cheese, not spreadable cream cheese
1 ½ - 2 cups icing sugar
2 tablespoons sweetened coffee & chicory essence
1 cup walnuts

Method:
Line a 20 x 30 cm slice tin with baking paper.

Crush the biscuits – a food processor is good for this.

Melt the butter, condensed milk and coffee & chicory essence together. Add the biscuit crumbs and chopped nuts.  Press into the prepared tin.

Beat the cream cheese, icing sugar and coffee & chicory essence together.  Spread over the slice and sprinkle with walnuts.

Place in the refrigerator for at least an hour to set.
