MermaidMary’s cocktail of the week: Sloe Gin Fizz

This refreshing gin-based cocktail comes from The Whiskey, an Auckland bar in Ponsonby that offers live music four days a week and well-crafted cocktails.

Sloe Gin Fizz

Ingredients:

  • 45mls Sloe Gin
  • 5-10mls egg white
  • 30 mls lemon juice
  • Dash of sugar syrup

Method:

  1. Dry shake (shake without ice) the sugar syrup & egg white
  2. Add ingredients to shaker with ice
  3. Add sloe Gin
  4. Shake & dump into a short glass
  5. Garnish with whatever you want (The Whiskey used a cherry)
