David Seymour launches #MyLifeMyChoice campaign
ACT Party leader David Seymour has launched a video campaign featuring New Zealanders who support his End of Life Choice Bill.
The five videos make up the #MyLifeMyChoice campaign and include contributions from three New Zealanders suffering terminal illnesses.
The bill passed it's first reading in Parliament at the end of last year, 76 votes to 44.
Mr Seymour said that euthanasia is the last great human rights issue and the fact it is unavailable is wrong.
It is simply immoral to force people to suffer and have all the consequences, because we want to impose our morals on them.
It is clear that Mr Seymour is very passionate about the issue, he said he turned down the promotion to become a minister so that he could keep this bill in the ballot.
At the current time, Euthanasia and assisted suicide is legal in seven countries and seven US states.
The bill goes before parliament again in September.
