it would cause more problems than solutions - stupid idea. Kids need to be educated by parents etc about the risks and they need to take the responsibility.

I think there needs to be more money spent on making young children more aware of "safe" sites to post on. And that they should NEVER use their full names or give away details of where they live. It is hard when kids are trusting complete strangers and then these people take advantage of websites to pray on them. So maybe not so much a panic button, but a button where if anyone suspects that someone is praying on the more vulnerable then YES I think this should be an option to think about, so that these people can be banned from websites like Facebook and twitter, then traced by police if there is anything illegal happening.

probably waste police time.. Maybe parents who know there kids are on these sites.. Could befriended there kids themselves.. So they know just how good or bad there kids are at identifying a risk... There isn't much the government can do.. Except ban it for under 18s.. Even then it wont stop them.. There are computer programs that will stop these sites showing up at home.. But high school age teens can log on too these sites at school..
