I have to pay $400 'donations', $396 class fees and course item costs plus $300 for an all new uniform which is only permitted to be used for two years. Apart from the fact that, it is a ghastly wool mix that smells like a wet dog when the children are caught in the rain... To stay dry, they can only wear school jacket at a further bank raid cost. in the Junior years. Due to complete revision of the uniform style and colour, there are no second hand clothes. Thank God my daughter is now in yr13 that does not require uniform. Paying the $400 'donation' is the last, now that my children have been accepted into the 'out of zone'. It makes many parents bitter and feel unwilling to contribute a cent more... I used to spend a minimal cost in the UK. The big supermarkets, Tesco, Asda etc could clothe your child for $60 - $80. The schools' monopoly is a disgrace. As long as any make of uniform is clean, ironed and in good repair, isn't that the criteria for self repect and a well kept appearance?
