Would Maori sovereignty over water affect asset sales plans in a good way?
A Waitangi Tribunal hearing is looking in to the rights of Maori over water.
The Prime Minister says any change of ownership will not affect the sale of the power companies that use water for electricity generation. Any ownership change could mean Mighty River Power find themselves paying for the right to use the water.
