Marcus Lush speaks to Alex Swney from Heart of the City about Segways. Sal's Pizza were earlier this week issued with a warning from police that they may be charged or face police action if they continue using the motorised vehicles on Auckland's streets. Swney says there may be some safety issues around the use of Segways on footpaths, but these can be looked at without an outright ban on their use. "Rather than saying 'no', let's say 'yes, we want Segways, we understand them, they do perform a great function, and they're very useful in the public environment'."
