I've had Mobile Broadband through the XT network for nearly 3 months now. Telecom did some "planned" maintenance on my local station 4 days, but didn't plan on telling their clients. Ever since then the connection is either slow or not working. I have no idea when this will be fixed and niether do the people when you dial 123. They treat clients like mushrooms, feed us crap and kept in the dark. Cheers, Telecommunist.

Telecom XT is a load of crap.Having the abilty to be able to purchase a sim card means we should be able to put that sim card into any phone we want right?Wrong. Ive been shopping around and pretty much the only phones you can put a xt sim card in is a Telecom Xt phone. So much for a step into the future its just like the old network!

shit happens, GET OVER IT! as for the customer service persons.. a little politeness goes a long way. GJ TELECOM one of our only corporate giants that returns wealth back to new zealanders.. unlike vodafone.

What's wrong with Telecom? LOL, what's right with them? Like most of these big corporates plenty, but what can the little man (or woman) do about it? Nothing, that's what. They out source their help lines to North East West Latvia and we have to talk to people who - dispite extensive training - don't have the foggiest notion what they're talking about, hence 018 dishing out wrong numbers all the time. And no telecom, it's not random, it's happened to me and plenty of others. They try to put as many people between us and them as possible. These phone people then get to say, 'i really want to help you, but this is not my area' blah, blah bullsh*t. They just wear you down until you can't be bothered following up on the complaint and then they say to the media, 'look at the lack of complaints we have, we must be doing something right!'All I can say is it's lucky ET wasn't using XT or he'd never have got home.

By not providing the service, isn’t Telecom braking the contract first

Interesting to read comments by Brain G (above) I am currently trying to get out of my XT contract and switch to Vodafone.I have seen the deals Vodafone are offering, and on the face of it - it all looks very good ideed. Trouble is first impressions do count, and when I rang Vodafone wanting to switch over my landline, broadband and cell services for my partner and I.After waiting 20 mimutes to talk to someone, and having to endure painful stopping/starting and long blank periods - I finally get through to an operator. When I tell the operator of my pending changes, (surely he realised the commercial value of that) - I get told Id rung the wrong number and needed to contact someone else...........not impressed! NB: The number I called was a general enquiry line.

To be fair to Telecom, it isn't their fault that XT is having issues. The spend up 750 mil on it, they are just as angry as the customers.
