Waitangi Day on Monday, so join me and invited garden experts for a very special "Gardeners panel" from 6am.

If you've been having problems getting your lawn to look and work like a bowling green then you can ask Gerard Dyer from Total lawn care all about it after 7am.

On Saturday's show however you might very well be interested in what Richard Blaikie has to say about other types of lawns we can have. What about a lawn that can be weeded with sea water?

"Ellerslie International Flower show" came to an abrupt halt in 2011 and we all know why. This year promises to be something of an extravaganza!

We get to go behind the scenes to the build up on what promises to be the greatest show in earth with some of the award-winning designers.

The Victorian gardener regaled at the invention of an apparatus that revolutionised the way they tended to their plants. This weekend we will discuss the good the bad and the ugly.

Katie Karrot shares more tips on water conservation in "Tui Time". You will also have a chance to win some of the best water saving devices available to us in New Zealand this season too.

And of course from 6am all the way through till 10am we will take your gardening and cooking calls and hopefully shed rays of light your way with informed and creative answers.

It's going to be fun and I'm in one of my moods - must be the humidity!

It is our last long weekend for a while, so how about making the most of it and inviting friends or family over for a meal?

Saturday we are talking about all of those easy throw-together recipes that make entertaining so easy.

I was given a rice cooker for Christmas and I am thrilled – I never knew how much I wanted one until I got it.

What are some of your favourite kitchen gadgets that you just wouldn’t want to be without?

What do courgettes, carrots and corn have in common aside from all being vegetables? They make perfect fritters!

This Saturday it is fritter time on the Kitchen and Garden show.

Here is my favourite recipe for corn fritters and my all time favourite courgette fritter recipe that are packed with mint and feta – yum!

What is a good strong killer re. spray liquids for verile plants like agapanthas, i.e. to mix up as a garden spray, round up doesn't seem to be strong enough.

I have slaters eating my strawberries, these are planted in above ground planters and used tui veg mix in them, this has been an on going problem, I have been recomended "Lawnguard Prills" which I used but with no sucess, do you have any suggestions that would help ???? thanks Sharyn
