Valerie is the most organised person I have known in my life - Phil Gifford

Michael Laws speaks to sports writer Phil Gifford about Valerie Adams' disappointment at receiving silver off the back of her near non-entry into the games. Phil says that its astonishing that Valerie was not entered on the event list for the shot put prior to the event. "I am not saying that if that mix up hadn't happened, Valerie would have won the gold medal." "What I am saying is that the Valerie Adams we saw throwing in that shot put is not the person that would have thrown in the shot put [otherwise]." 8th August 2012.
