Willie & JT chat to Rashelle Gordon, daughter of Tony Tank Gordon and author of "My Dad My Legend". Legendary Kiwi league and union rugby player – and coach – Tony ‘Tank’ Gordon is considered one of the stalwarts of our Rugby playing nation, going down in the history books for being part of the 1975 World Cup team, proudly leading the victory over the Aussies in 1987 and reaching the World Cup Final in 1988. But behind the storming runs and huge kicks, Tony Tank Gordon’s private life was troubled by a childhood gambling addiction, a turbulent court case and jail, depression, alcoholism and a loveless marriage; in a time where players had to work hard to pay the bills, his colorful off-pitch character started to haunt him, with his financial decisions eventually costing him everything including the rugby reputation he’d worked hard to build. Rashelle and her father compiled the book together, until Tony's untimely death in March this year. It is available in all good book shops now.
